Compared to traditional RG-8X, LMR®-240 provides significantly lower signal attenuation—often 35-64% less loss depending on frequency and length—thanks to its advanced foam polyethylene dielectric and superior shielding, while maintaining a similar 0.240-inch diameter for compatibility with standard RG-8X connectors. It also supports higher frequencies effectively up to 5.8 GHz or beyond, with better overall efficiency and power handling.
